Mike Widman

Mike Widman is the Owner/President of C&W Insurance. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Kansas State University where he was also a member of the baseball team. After receiving his Master’s Degree from the University of Alaska in 1997, he joined C&W Insurance.

Although perceived by many as a sales oriented business, Mike runs his company based on a philosophy that success is first and foremost a result of excellent service. Mike holds the AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) designation.

Mike has been married to his wife, Audrey, for 15 years and they have two children. Mike enjoys spending his leisure time with family pursuing his interests of fly fishing, boating, snow skiing, and scuba diving.

Jeff Kruse

Jeff has over 35 years of experience with C&W Insurance  He was born and raised in Oakley, Kansas.  In 1977 he moved to Manhattan to attend Kansas State University.  After graduating from K-State in 1980, he began his insurance career with Charlson & Wilson.  He completed his Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation in 1989 and in 1990 was president of the Young Agents of Kansas.  For the past 20 years he has taught the class “Fundamentals of Insurance & Risk Management” for the College of Business at Kansas State University.

Jeff is a member of the Manhattan Rotary Club and has served on the Board of Directors for the Manhattan Country Club.  He has participated in Leadership Kansas (1987) and Future Manhattan (1989). He and his wife Nancy have two adult daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis.

Travis Say

Travis has been with C&W Insurance since 2008.  He has almost 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry.

Travis is a native of Manhattan and played college baseball.  He received dual Bachelor’s degrees from Washburn University in Marketing and Management and also garnered Honorable Mention All-American as a relief pitcher for the Ichabod baseball team.

He and his wife Keely are the proud parents of four children: Xander, Monroe, Jude and Kingston.  In his spare time, you can find Travis spending time with his family, attending K-State events, and coaching children’s sports.  He also serves on the board of directors for the Flint Hills Area Builders’ Association, the Manhattan Basketball Association, Manhattan Area Sports Council, Young Life and is a member of the Manhattan Konza Rotary.  He is an alumnus of the 2010 Class of Leadership Manhattan.

Bernie Haney

Brian Thompson

Brian Thompson is the Director of Administration and has been with C&W Insurance since 2018.  Brian received Bachelor of  Science in Business and MBA from Emporia State University.  He has over 15 years in the insurance industry. 

Brian and his wife Tanna have three adult children and one grandchild.  He is a volunteer coach for youth sports. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, ice skating and hiking in the mountains. 

Brooke Steiner

Brooke has been in the insurance industry for over ten years and joined C&W Insurance in 2014. She graduated from the University of Texas in San Antonio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Brooke holds her AAI (Accredited Adviser in Insurance) designation.

Christi Hursh

Christi grew up in Lenexa, KS, coming to Manhattan to attend K-State. She fell in love with the area and decided to stay and make the Little Apple her home. Christi Joined the team in 2018 and quickly advanced becoming an Account Executive in just a few short years. In her spare time she loves to stay active by going to the gym and walking her Mini Aussie’s.

Deanna Bond

Deanna Bond is local to Manhattan and joined our agency in 2022. Although she is new to our agency, she has a strong background in insurance and graduated from Kansas State University with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Her career in insurance started while she was still in high school when Deanna took a job at a local independent insurance agency and has been in or around the insurance industry ever since. Deanna enjoys the outdoors by gardening, hiking, riding and showing horses. In her spare time she volunteers with local horse showing organization, and 4-H projects, and enjoys spending time with her family.

LaNiqe Brown

LaNiqe has been in Manhattan 12 years and joined our agency in 2022. She graduated from K-State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a minor in Communications. LaNiqe is originally from Fort Worth, TX, but fell in love with Manhattan and upon graduating decided that this would be a great place to raise a family. LaNiqe has a beautiful family, and in her spare time enjoys playing & coaching volleyball, cooking, and reading. LaNiqe has an active role at Manhattan Christian Fellowship church where she is the youth pastor and dance minister.

Mariah Del Rosso

Mariah Del Rosso is a Personal Lines Account Executive and a native of Manhattan.  She joined C&W Insurance in 2015.  Prior to working at C&W, she worked for an insurance agency in Superior, NE for 10 years.  Mariah’s focus is to provide exceptional policy service as well as write new business.

She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, mudding in her Jeep and riding motorcycles.

Tricia Dochterman

Tricia has been with C&W Insurance since 2011. Prior to coming to C&W she worked in underwriting and agency support. She has a degree in Operations Management from Southwestern College of Professional Studies and holds designations through The Institutes including: Associate in General Insurance, Associate in Personal Insurance and Associate in Insurance Services.

Tricia is a military spouse and after working in the Manhattan office for 4 years transitioned to working remotely. This opportunity has allowed her to continue working for the office wherever the Army sends her family. Tricia and her husband, Lane, have two boys and are originally from Northwestern Missouri. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors with her family, hunting, fishing, gardening and antique shopping.
